The All Blacks will start their 2019 Rugby World Cup campaign against two-times world cup champions South Africa on September 21, at 9:45 PM New Zealand Standard Time in the International Stadium Yokohama, Yokohama. The New Zealand national team has been the most successful teams in previous eight world cups with three titles to its name. The All Blacks have won the title in 1987, 2011 and 2015. It is also pertinent to mention that the current champion is also the New Zealand team and they will be all set to defend their title in the 9th edition of the Rugby World Cup which will be played in Japan from September 20 to November 2, 2019.
Rugby World Cup takes place once in a period of four years and the tournament is organized by World Rugby which is the world governing body of Rugby. The tournament will feature 20 national teams and a total of 48 matches will be played across 12 different venues in Japan. The 20 participating teams are divided into four groups of five teams each and the world cup will be played in the round-robin and knock out format. Each team will contest in four group stage games and based on the points scored in the group stage, the top two teams from each group will advance to next stage.
