Stadium 974 is named after the international dialling code for Qatar (+974). The construction of the stadium includes 974 recycled shipping containers and the stadium will be deconstructed after hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup matches. The stadium has been constructed keeping sustainability goals in mind.
Initially, the stadium was announced under the name Ras Abu Aboud Stadium, however, subsequently, it was officially named Stadium 974. It hosted its first match on 30.11.2021 during the FIFA Arab Cup between UAE and Syria.

How to Reach the Stadium
The stadium is about 2 km away from Doha and can be reached by Doha Metro, the nearest metro station is Ras Bu Aboud (Gold Line) which is 800 meters away from the stadium.
One can use the buses with route no.109 and deboard at the Qatar Petroleum bus stop to reach the stadium.
