2020 UEFA Euro is approaching thick and fast, so get ready for a fiercely competed footballing carnival as the 2020 UEFA Euro (a.k.a World Cup of Europe) is scheduled from June 11, 2021, to July 11, 2021, in 11 different venues across 11 different host cities. The tournament was originally scheduled from 12 June to 12 July 2020, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was rescheduled to June 11 to July 11, 2021.
A total of 24 teams will take part in the competition which is divided into 6 groups of 4 teams each. The tournament will be played in two stages, the first stage will be the group stage which will be in round-robin format where each team will get 3 matches and will face all other teams in the group. During the second stage, the matches will be played in a knockout format, the rounds that will be played in this format are Round of 16, Quarter-finals, Semi-Finals. The teams winning the two semi-final matches will compete in the final match to win the prestigious trophy.
Football is one of the popular sports in Australia and they have taken parts in FIFA World Cups, although Australia is not taking part in the competition, however, there are still a number of football lovers who would like to follow each and every match of the competition. As the matches will be played in 11 different host cities having different time zones, while there are three main time zones used in Australia which are Australian Western Standard Time (AWST) (UTC+08:00), Australian Central Standard Time (UTC+09:30), and Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST; UTC+10:00) so there could be a difficulty for the football-loving Aussie to know the match kick-off time of the 2020 Euro.
