The 7^th edition of T20 World Cup is finally happening!. The tournament was scheduled for 2020, however, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, it will now be played from October 17, 2021, to November 14, 2021. The T20 World Cup is organized after a gap of two years by the international governing body of Cricket which is the International Cricket Council (ICC). Bangladesh has never won this tournament so the Bangladeshi Tigers would be hoping to win it this time. The defending champions and the most successful team of the tournament is West Indies who have won the tournament twice.

Cricket is a widely popular sport in Bangladesh and the fans would be eager to follow each and every game of their team, however, as the world cup will be played in UAE and Oman there will be some difficulty in determining the match schedule. The world cup will be played as per the local time of UAE and Oman which is 4 hours ahead of GMT and the Bangladesh Standard Time is 6 hours ahead of GMT, accordingly, there will be a time difference of two hours. The first match of the 2021 T20 World Cup will be played on October 17, 2021, at 4:00 PM Bangladesh Standard Time between Oman and Papua New Guinea at Oman Cricket Academy Ground in Al Amarat while the final match will be played between two semi-final winners on November 14, 2021, at 8:00 PM Bangladeshi Time in Dubai.
