These matches will be played in two stages, one being the group stage and the second being the knockout stage. For the Group stage, all the 32 teams that will be taking part in the competition will be divided into 8 groups of 4 teams each and each team in a group will face the other three teams of the group. Accordingly, 48 matches will be played in the group stage and based on the performance of the teams during the group stage, the top two teams from each group will advance to play in the knockout stage.
