Schedule World
The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup which will be the eighth edition of the tournament will be played from June 7 to July 7, 2019 across 9 venues in France. The tournament is one of the most viewed sporting events on the globe and its popularity is no less than FIFA World Cup which features various national men’s teams.
24 teams will feature in the tournament out of which 23 teams are selected on the basis of qualifying tournament while one team namely France is selected as Hosts. The 2019 Women’s World Cup will last for 30 entertaining days in which these teams will play 52 matches in the round robin and knock out the format to win the world cup title.
Two West African Teams namely Nigeria and Cameroon have also qualified for the tournament, however, neither of the teams were able to win the world cup title in any of the previous seven editions of the tournament which is played once in a period of four years.
The two African Nations i.e. Nigeria and Cameroon would be hoping to do their best in 2019 and the national supporters of the teams would also want to follow each and every game to their team. However, as the tournament being hosted by France will be played as per Central European Summer Time which is different from West Africa Time so there may be a slight difficulty for the fans to know the exact match kick-off time. So, to make it easy for the football lovers from West Africa we have provided the complete match schedule 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in West Africa Time (WAT).
There will be a difference of one hour between West Africa Time and match local time, so we have converted the match schedule of 2019 FWWC to UTC+01:00 from UTC+02:00.
Accordingly, the opening match of the FIFA Women’s World Cup will be played on June 7, 2019 between South Korea and host France at 8:00 PM West Africa Time at the Parc des Princes in Paris while the title match will be contested between the winners of two semi-final matches on July 7, 2019 at 4:00 PM WAT at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Lyon.
