The 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup will be hosted by Qatar from November 20, 2022, to December 18, 2022. The tournament will be known as the 2022 FIFA World Cup, unlike the previous editions wherein the matches were played during the months of June and July, the matches in Qatar will be played during the months of November and December due to extreme weather in Qatar in the months of June and July.
Know more about how to apply for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Tickets. The tickets will be sold in three phases viz. Sales Phase (1), Sales Phase (2) and Last-Minute Sales Phase. For Qatari residents, FIFA accepts Visa Card as a payment option while for non-residents of Qatar FIFA prefers Visa Card as a payment option for purchasing tickets. The sale under the Random Selection Draw for the Sales Phase (1) started on 19 January 2022 and ended on 8 February 2022 while the sale for the First Come First Serve of sales phase (1) began on 23 March 2022 (11:00 CET) and ended on 29 March 2022 (11:00 CET).
The sale under the Random Selection Draw of the Sales Phase (2) commenced on 5 April 2022 (11:00 CEST) and ended on 28 April 2022 (11:00 CET). The sale under the First Come First Served period of Sales Phase (2) begins on July 5, 2022, and ends on August 16, 2022.
Further, the sale under the Last-Minute Sales Phase will start on September 27, 2022, and ends with the competition on December 18, 2022.
The Qatari Government has introduced a unique technology-enabled smart card known as Hayya Card which will act as a permit to enter the State of Qatar, stadiums (along with match tickets) and pass for free matchday travel. Know more about Hayya Card for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Only the Ticket Applicant shall be entitled to any right of refund, under no circumstances FIFA Ticketing shall be required to provide a refund or any other form of compensation to any Guest of the Ticket Applicant. The amount of any refund will be based on the face value of the Ticket minus any administration fees paid as part of the Ticket Application. Further, a Ticket Applicant will be eligible for a refund only in case FIFA Ticketing cancels a ticket for the reasons prescribed in the Refund Policy for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
If a Ticket Applicant is unable to attend a match then the tickets can’t be cancelled/returned once FIFA has successfully processed the payments for the ticket(s). However, you have the option to put your ticket for resale via the official ticket resale platform.
